29th February – a treat of an extra day once every four years. Use it wisely. I’m planning a run first thing (a new year resolution that’s unusually holding, 2 months in) which will compensate for too much of the rest of the day on the computer. Oh and I’m going to book some down time for later in the year. I love having those treats in the diary to think about on the more humdrum, or cold and wet days.
And the good news is that we’ve extended the earlybird discount for our 11th WoW, Week of Wellness, so use this extra day to create a treat for yourself which will last much more than 24 hours once every 4 years, and with a great earlybird saving of £50 off per person.
Tai chi, therapies, walks, sun, good food and wine, conversation, stillness and peace, relaxation, mindfulness, laughter, wellbeing and so much more.
Before we’d even made it home to the UK, we had 3 bookings for our 2016 Week of Wellness. Great forward planning! And the great news is that we’re holding the 2015 prices over to 2016. A WoW guest last week thought that it was “really excellent value for money”. It will be even more so in 2016 with that price freeze.
What a wonderful week we had. An intoxicating mix including a wonderful location, fabulous fresh food, energising and grounding tai chi, relaxing and soothing therapies, walks through beautiful and ancient landscapes, conversations and laughter with old and new friends, warmth on the skin, learning about ourselves and others, all contributed to the mix which ensures that guests truly feel they’ve enjoyed a balanced Week of Wellness with us. The wonderful team at Son Ametler looked after us so well yet again.
2015 was our 10th Year. We’ve learnt a lot about ourselves during that time and also learnt from the dozens of people who’ve come to Mallorca from different continents and trusted us with their wellbeing. If you’d like to join us for our 2016 Week of Wellness, check out what its all about, prices and get in touch. There’s limited availability!
TED2015 featured more than 90 speakers, and more than 20 hours of talks. We turned our perceptions inside-out, saw some new technology, traveled to space more than once, heard astounding life stories, learned about unusual materials, rethought artistic expression and contemplated the divides of society, with an eye toward ending injustice.
In the end, this collection of quotes seems to encapsulate the incredible breadth of this conference. Enjoy.

“I’ve learned about the poetry and the wisdom and the grace that can be found in the words of people all around us when we simply take the time to listen.”—Dave Isay
20th March is an auspicious day – not only a solar eclipse (don’t look directly at it), but also International Day of Happiness. It seems like a great day to play some tai chi, take a walk on the beach, watch a solar eclipse with the right eye protection, have a massage, dance in wet grass, laugh with good friends, a random kindness to a stranger, a hug, some mindful breathing, a walk barefoot in the sand – whatever it might be to make you happy, and to share some happiness with others. Such simple actions and thoughts can nurture your sense of wellbeing, and that of others too.
And it needn’t be on just one day of the year that we have a sense of wellness. Small moments each day can keep our wellness batteries topped up. What frequently happens though is that life and work gets in the way and we neglect our wellness for too long.
The perfect way to recharge your wellness batteries? Join us on our Week of Wellness, a treat of a week of tai chi, holistic therapies and walking in beautiful rural Mallorca, October 10-17th 2015. On International Day of Happiness, make sure to book your Autumn Wellness recharge. “Wellness at its best“.
We’re feeling like spring is finally showing signs of life, bunches of snowdrops, daffodil leaves pushing through, buds on trees, the orange and purple of crocuses hailing the promise of warmer weather and longer days. And feeling good about that, we’ve decided to extend the earlybird discount for our WoW Week of Wellness. Earlybird discounts will apply if you’ve booked and paid your deposit by the end of March.
And as for a bit of pampering, Jane is now offering not only reflexology but also indian head massage, Bach flower remedies, Bowen technique, Reiki, insights into mindfulness and all round wellbeing. Fabulous.
We’ve only 3 rooms still available so be decisive and get in touch to make that booking. You won’t be disappointed.
If you’re anything like me, your mind during the second half of January will have been full of invoices, receipts, diaries, creditors, travel claims and so forth, ie. completing and submitting your tax return. Only now might you be able to see the possibilities beyond the 31st January and start to give the better things in life some attention, like chilling in the pool with the sun on your skin!
And so with this in mind, we’re extending our earlybird discount for our WoW Week of Wellness through to the end of February, giving you a whole month to get your holiday plans in order, and book to join us for a treat of week of tai chi, holistic therapies, walks, chillout time, being mindful, good food and wine, laughter, lazing by the pool, exploring the local area and generally feeling fabulous by the end of it!
We’ve only 3 ensuite rooms left at the wonderful Son Ametler. Bring a friend and share the fun, save on the price. And with the earlybird discount extended til the end of February, each person saves £50 off the fee.
