He does tai chi! Ok, so it was for a film but he’s looking good. Love the focus in his eyes, looking “upright, comfortable and relaxed” as my teacher also tells me to be. Anne Hathaway’s looking less so, but it’s probably part of her role? Anyone know what film this is from?
I’m wondering if either of them fancy some more tai chi practise this autumn and would join us on our 11th WoW Week of Wellness in Mallorca – tai chi, walks, holistic therapies, sunshine, pool time, downtime, in stunning countryside. A few spaces remain…
20th March is an auspicious day – not only a solar eclipse (don’t look directly at it), but also International Day of Happiness. It seems like a great day to play some tai chi, take a walk on the beach, watch a solar eclipse with the right eye protection, have a massage, dance in wet grass, laugh with good friends, a random kindness to a stranger, a hug, some mindful breathing, a walk barefoot in the sand – whatever it might be to make you happy, and to share some happiness with others. Such simple actions and thoughts can nurture your sense of wellbeing, and that of others too.
And it needn’t be on just one day of the year that we have a sense of wellness. Small moments each day can keep our wellness batteries topped up. What frequently happens though is that life and work gets in the way and we neglect our wellness for too long.
The perfect way to recharge your wellness batteries? Join us on our Week of Wellness, a treat of a week of tai chi, holistic therapies and walking in beautiful rural Mallorca, October 10-17th 2015. On International Day of Happiness, make sure to book your Autumn Wellness recharge. “Wellness at its best“.
We’re feeling like spring is finally showing signs of life, bunches of snowdrops, daffodil leaves pushing through, buds on trees, the orange and purple of crocuses hailing the promise of warmer weather and longer days. And feeling good about that, we’ve decided to extend the earlybird discount for our WoW Week of Wellness. Earlybird discounts will apply if you’ve booked and paid your deposit by the end of March.
And as for a bit of pampering, Jane is now offering not only reflexology but also indian head massage, Bach flower remedies, Bowen technique, Reiki, insights into mindfulness and all round wellbeing. Fabulous.
We’ve only 3 rooms still available so be decisive and get in touch to make that booking. You won’t be disappointed.
If however, you’re like me, chances are your good intentions are starting to slide by the end of January and those short, dark, wet days are more conducive to curling up on the sofa with chocolate than a bracing walk on the moors. Here’s a solution that will give you a focus and something to be excited about for the best part of a year!
Book now for our annual Week of Wellness in rural Mallorca and you’ll have 9 months to anticipate the warmth of sun on skin, of greeting the sunrise with qi gong exercises by the pool, stretching your muscles and heart on our walks through the mountains and by the sea, relaxing into a reflexology or indian head massage treatment, enjoying a spot of pampering, dining on freshly prepared local produce, laughing with new friends, discovering tai chi and its benefits for your body and mind, sleeping well in your boutique hotel ensuite room, catching up with a book by the pool, exploring the local market at Pollensa and so much more.
And if you book and pay the deposit before the end of January, you’ll enjoy a £50 discount.
The perfect way to ensure your resolutions last throughout the year, to the end of October in any case! Only a few rooms remaining so be decisive and contact us for the booking form. And don’t forget the January sales on flights so it’s a great time to get it all sorted! A very warm welcome awaits…
In 2014 we were blessed with amazing weather, fabulous food and a great group of people. As 2015 will be our 10th year in Mallorca it’s something to celebrate and so we shall. Details to follow. What you can be sure of is that Paola and James will once again look after us so well at Son Ametler, and that Jane and Helen will be ensuring that you enjoy a wonderful week and return home chilled, nourished, relaxed and recharged.
We’re offering earlybird discounts for those booking before the end of December 2014. Get in touch for details.
Way back in January I talked about Fred and Freda, two of my lovely tai-chiers, and their “get up and go” can-do attitudes. At the time I commented thus:
“I’ve been pondering on what Freda and Fred have in common. The thing that springs to mind, loud and clear, is a positive “can-do” mindset, despite pain and disability and recovering from illness. A salient reminder in itself of the importance of engaging the body AND mind in every aspect of our tai chi practise, and that bringing together of mind and body is one of tai chi’s great strengths.”
Here is Colin’s, aka “Fred’s”, story. “I’d encourage anyone out there to go out and find a hobby or a sport which gets them on the move”. There’s lots of resources to help you on the British Heart Foundation website. And tai chi is a great way to give your body and mind a gentle but thorough workout. Check out my Devon classes.
