Ringing in the changes

2019 shells2019 promises to be a year of challenges and changes, some beyond our control, some in our gift to shape as we choose.  What will you choose?  I’m aiming for less screen time and more time to connect with nature, with myself and with others; to have a less busy brain but an engaged body, which will hopefully mean lots of tai chi!

Our dates for our Annual Week of Wellness are confirmed and we’re delighted to be  returning to Northern Mallorca for our 14th year on 26th Oct – 2nd Nov.  Earlybird discounts are available now.  We hope you’ll join us.  Find out more and gift yourself something special for the year ahead.

Muffins for Macmillan

muffins 0918These delicious raspberry and almond muffins, baked by one of our lovely tai-chiers,  were a fabulously tasty way to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support after class on Friday.  One of the things that gives me most joy about our Devon classes is the new friendships that have been forged between people,  previously strangers in their own communities.  And how over the years we’ve rallied together to support causes close to people’s hearts, including Children in Need, Brain Tumour Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support.

Chatter and laughter levels during our Chi and Biscuits classes are a great barometer for me about the wellbeing of our group.

Happy 2018! Earlybird catches the WoW!

concise form crop

A new year, a fresh start, a blank canvas.  The short days of January see many of us yearning for the warmth of the sun, resolving to cease old “bad” habits, and to learn new skills, to eat well, to be mindful, visit new places and to be kind to ourselves.  Many of those aspirations will have fallen by the wayside by the first days of February (I speak from experience!).

So make a resolution to do all of these things later in the year, and book for our WoW Week of Wellness in October.  Tai chi, therapies, countryside, walks, coast, fabulous food, quality sleep, warm sun, pool time and down time, wonderful venue and optional gin!  Whether a tai chi beginner or returner, a wonderful week is pretty much guaranteed.

Resolutions are often easier to keep in the company of others, so come along with a friend or a member of your family.  You won’t regret it and you’ll have something wonderful to look forward to for the next 10 months.

And throughout January we’re offering an Earlybird discount of £50 per person, and if you’re coming for the first time and bring someone to share a room, we’ll give you an extra £50 off.

So check out what WoW involves, the prices, and what others had to say.  And contact us to book, and nail those new year resolutions.  You won’t regret it.
